Job Summary
A Reservation Staff member is responsible for handling booking requests, managing reservations, assisting customers with inquiries, and ensuring accurate reservation records. They provide excellent customer service while maximizing occupancy, sales, or bookings for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and process reservations via phone, email, online systems, or in person.
Provide information about services, rates, availability, policies, and promotions.
Confirm, modify, or cancel reservations as requested by customers.
Maintain accurate reservation records and customer information.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
Monitor booking levels and report availability updates.
Process payments, deposits, and related documentation when required.
Follow company procedures and service standards.
Prepare reservation reports and maintain filing systems.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in hospitality, tourism, or business is an advantage.
Previous experience in reservations, customer service, hospitality, travel, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in computer systems and reservation software.
Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
