Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the manufacturing and installation preparation of wooden cabinets, kitchen cabinets, countertops, wardrobes, wooden doors, phenolic toilet partitions, and custom joinery solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production activities, ensuring quality standards, optimizing workflow, and coordinating with design and project teams. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required to review drawings, prepare production details, and support manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily production activities in the woodworking and joinery workshop.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Review and interpret AutoCAD drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with designers, estimators, project managers, and installation teams.
• Ensure accurate material cutting, machining, assembly, and finishing processes.
• Monitor quality control throughout production to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Manage and supervise carpenters, machine operators, and production workers.
• Optimize manpower, machinery utilization, and material consumption.
• Conduct production meetings and provide progress reports to management.
• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Resolve production issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Maintain inventory records and coordinate material requirements with procurement.
• Assist in developing production methods and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Wood Technology, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in woodworking, joinery, cabinetry, or interior fit-out manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of:
o Kitchen cabinets and wardrobes manufacturing
o Wooden doors and custom joinery work
o Countertops and phenolic toilet partitions
o Woodworking machinery and production processes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) for reviewing and preparing production/shop drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of quality control and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with CNC production processes.
• Knowledge of material optimization and cost control.
• Experience in custom furniture and interior fit-out projects.
