We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, monitoring material quantities, and ensuring cost-effective execution of woodworking and interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and shop drawings.
Prepare project cost estimates, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and quotations.
Analyze tender documents and specifications.
Coordinate with the Production, Design, and Procurement departments regarding project requirements.
Source and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports.
Evaluate variations, change orders, and additional work claims.
Prepare progress billing and payment applications.
Verify subcontractor invoices and payment certificates.
Monitor material consumption and recommend cost-saving measures.
Assist in project planning and budget control.
Maintain accurate project cost records and documentation.
Attend project meetings when required.
Ensure all costing complies with company standards and project specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out.
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and tendering.
Ability to read architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

Joinery and custom furniture manufacturing
Solid wood, veneer, MDF, plywood, HPL, and laminate works
Doors, wardrobes, kitchens, wall cladding, reception counters, and interior fit-out projects
Site measurement and quantity verification
