The Vendor shall have proven experience in fiber optic splicing for ring topology networks and must be certified by an approved authority for fiber optic testing. The scope of work includes approximately 500 fiber splices, including proper fiber tagging, dressing, and cable management. After splicing, the technician shall perform comprehensive fiber optic testing using an OTDR, along with all required acceptance tests, and submit the corresponding test reports to verify the integrity and performance of the fiber network.

Fiber Optic Splicing Vendor/Technician – Requirements

Certified in fiber optic splicing and testing by an approved authority.
Proven experience with fiber optic ring topology networks.
Ability to perform approximately 500 fiber splices.
Skilled in fiber cable tagging, dressing, and cable management.
Proficient in OTDR testing and interpretation of test results.
Capable of conducting end-to-end fiber testing and submitting complete test reports.
Knowledge of fiber installation standards and best practices.
