Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor
Department: Projects / Construction
Reports To: Construction Manager / Project Manager
Location: Saudi Arabia (Project Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Purpose
The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor is responsible for supervising all electrical and instrumentation construction activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality requirements, client standards, and project schedules. The role includes supervising installation, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning support, and coordination with other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Supervision
Supervise daily Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities.
Plan and allocate manpower, tools, equipment, and materials.
Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and project procedures.
Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Piping, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and Commissioning teams.
Monitor subcontractors and direct workforce to achieve project milestones.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
Prepare daily progress reports and monitor productivity.
Identify construction issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in client inspections and project meetings.
Mandatory Technical Experience (Must Have)
The candidate must have proven hands-on supervisory experience in the installation, inspection, testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and energization of the following 480V electrical systems:
Motor Control Centers (MCC) – 480V
Low Voltage Switchgear (LVSG) – 480V
Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) – 480V
Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) – 480V
Bus Duct / Busway Systems – 480V
The candidate must also have demonstrated experience in:
Equipment installation and alignment.
Power and control cable laying.
Cable tray installation.
Cable pulling.
Cable glanding and termination.
Insulation Resistance (Megger) Testing.
Continuity Testing.
Functional Testing.
Loop Checking.
Energization activities.
Electrical troubleshooting during testing and commissioning.
Reading Single Line Diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and IFC drawings.
Coordination with QA/QC and Commissioning teams.
Punch list clearance and system handover.

Quality Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with project specifications and approved drawings.
Review Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
Coordinate inspections with QA/QC.
Ensure first-time inspection acceptance.
Verify test reports and quality documentation.
Close punch list items within target dates.
Maintain as-built documentation.
Health, Safety & Environment
Ensure compliance with all HSE policies and procedures.
Enforce Permit-to-Work requirements.
Ensure proper Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) implementation.
Promote safe work practices.
Ensure proper use of PPE.
Report unsafe acts and conditions immediately.
Participate in incident investigations.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum 8–12 years of Electrical & Instrumentation construction experience.
Minimum 3–5 years in a Supervisory position.
Experience in Industrial, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or EPC Projects.
Saudi Aramco project experience is highly preferred.
Candidates with Saudi Aramco Brownfield or Greenfield project experience will be given preference.
Experience working under Saudi Aramco standards and procedures is highly desirable.
