- Operate and check overhead crane
- Read work orders to find customer specifications for quality, packaging and loading instructions.
- Put inventory away in proper locations and inform supervisor where the product was placed.
- Weigh and inspect material before shipping.
- Load and unload proper material onto proper truck per customer loading specifications.
- Load and unload correct material on and off machines.
- Follow all safety rules while operating overhead cranes and assisting equipment i.e.
- Coil carts, down layer and banding tools.
- Assist where needed when not running crane.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in work area.


Requirements

• Ability to operateoverhead crane
• Able to read and understand micrometer, calipers to check width and gauge.
• Able to understand quality of material and work per customers specifications.
• Understand how to run all banding equipment.
• Ability to understand work order and preform work required.
• Preferred a minimum of three years of experience.
• Must have strong mechanical ability and aptitude.
• Able to be standing for the entirety of work time
• Able to lift 50 pound continually thru shift
