تفاصيل الاعلان
To provide IMI field assurance for confined space entry and hot work activities across IMI-controlled areas, ensuring continuous monitoring, strict access control, and immediate intervention when controls are not effective. The role protects personnel by enforcing IMI HSE and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements, maintaining effective communication with entrants and work parties, preventing unauthorized entry, identifying unsafe conditions, and initiating escalation to the Confined Space Entry Supervisor (CSES), task supervisor, Duty Safety Officer, and/or Emergency Response Team (ERT) as required. This position is critical to IMI’s duty of care and compliance with IMI Confined Space Entry and Hot Work procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maintain continuous attendance at the confined space entry point / hot work location and control access at all times.
•Maintain an accurate, real-time entry/exit record and headcount using the T-Card / Entry Log system and ensure all entrants are correctly registered.
•Confirm the applicable PTW documentation is present, current, and displayed (Confined Space Entry Permit / Hot Work Permit and associated risk assessment/JSA) and that required controls are in place before allowing work to commence; escalate any discrepancies immediately to the Permit Issuer/CSES and Operational Safety.
•Verify required physical controls are established and maintained, including signage, barricading/exclusion, safe access/egress, lighting, ventilation arrangements, firefighting equipment, and emergency/rescue equipment (as per the approved plan).
•Maintain constant two-way communication with entrants and the work party to identify distress, abnormal behaviour, hazardous exposure, or changing conditions; immediately trigger escalation when communication is lost.
•Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the confined space or hot work zone and ensure materials/equipment introduced to the area comply with IMI requirements (e.g., hoses, cables, cylinders, tools, and ignition sources control).
•Ensure for hot work, to have fire extinguisher on hand/close vicinity and continuously observe conditions and implement immediate controls to prevent ignition/spread (including extinguishing incipient
Exercise IMI Stop Work Authority: stop work, suspend the permit conditions, and order evacuation when hazards increase, controls fail, atmospheric conditions are suspect, or any unsafe act/condition is observed; notify the CSES/Permit Issuer, Duty Safety Officer, and Operations immediately.
Initiate emergency responses in accordance with the approved rescue plan and IMI emergency procedures; perform non-entry actions from outside the space only (e.g., raise alarm, maintain headcount, support retrieval system operation if provided) and do not enter the confined space under any circumstances.
•Complete required post-work monitoring (minimum 30 minutes or as specified by the permit), close out logs/records, and report observations, non-compliances, and learning points through IMI reporting channels; work to IMI roster/shift requirements and remain field based as directed.
