Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, including chillers, pumps, AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, package AC units, fans, and blowers.
Inspect filters, belts, motors, refrigerant levels, compressor oil, evaporator and condenser coils, drain pans, and drain lines.
Check refrigerant pressure, electrical connections, motors, and capacitors.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults in HVAC equipment.
Install, modify, and replace split AC units, window AC units, package units, FCUs, thermostats, and related HVAC components.
Troubleshoot compressors, expansion valves, solenoid valves, sensors, and control boards.
Repair refrigerant leaks and perform refrigerant charging and recovery.
Inspect electrical panels, contactors, relays, circuit breakers, and control wiring.
Replace defective components such as compressors, capacitors, contactors, fan motors, thermostats, and sensors.
Measure voltage, current, resistance, and insulation resistance using testing instruments.
Perform seasonal inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma with Technical School, HVAC, Air Conditioning, or Refrigeration certification.
Valid HVAC Technician License or EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of HVAC maintenance experience.
Experience in commercial or institutional facilities is preferred.
Skills
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and building automation systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with preventive maintenance and HVAC troubleshooting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergency maintenance situations.
