Industrial Valve Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Valve Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, overhaul, repair, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial valves and actuators in power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, water treatment, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect, maintain, overhaul, and repair industrial valves.
* Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, refurbishment, reassembly, and testing of valves.
* Carry out preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities.
* Troubleshoot valve failures and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
* Perform pressure testing, seat leakage testing, and functional testing.
* Maintain manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and motor-operated valves.
* Service valve actuators, positioners, solenoids, limit switches, and related accessories.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, valve datasheets, and maintenance procedures.
* Prepare maintenance reports and inspection records.
* Ensure all work complies with HSE requirements and client quality standards.

Valve Experience Required

Candidates should have hands-on experience with most of the following valve types with various sizes:

* Ball Valves
* Butterfly Valves
* Gate Valves
* Globe Valves
* Check Valves
* Relief & Safety Valves
* Control Valves
* Solenoid Valves
* Diaphragm Valves
* Plug Valves
* Needle Valves
* Pinch Valves
* Isolation, Drain, Vent, Bleed, Bypass, and Sampling Valves

Actuation Experience

Experience working with:

* Manual Valves
* Pneumatic Actuators
* Hydraulic Actuators
* Electric / Motor-Operated Valves (MOV)
* Self-Operated Control Valves

Preferred Industry Experience

* Power Generation Plants
* Oil & Gas Facilities
* Petrochemical Plants
* Water & Desalination Plants
* Fire Protection Systems
* Industrial Process Plants

Preferred Qualifications

* Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 3–5 years of industrial valve maintenance experience.
* Experience in plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and preventive maintenance programs.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
* Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Preferred Skills

* Valve overhaul and refurbishment
* Pressure and leak testing
* Valve actuator maintenance
* Mechanical troubleshooting
* Technical report writing
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of API, ASME, ISO, or OEM valve maintenance standards is an advantage.
