Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process products, and finished perfume products to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect and test incoming raw materials, fragrance oils, alcohol, packaging materials, and finished goods.
Perform routine laboratory tests on perfumes, body sprays, air fresheners, bakhoor, and other fragrance products.
Verify product appearance, color, odor, clarity, specific gravity, alcohol concentration, pH (where applicable), and other quality parameters.
Conduct in-process quality inspections during blending, filling, labeling, and packaging.
Approve or reject materials based on established quality standards.
Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, and test results.
Investigate quality issues and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, maintained, and clean.
Monitor compliance with GMP, ISO 9001, and company quality procedures.
Assist in product stability testing and sample retention.
Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse departments regarding quality-related issues.
Ensure all products comply with applicable regulatory and customer requirements.
Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the perfume, cosmetics, or FMCG industry.
Fresh graduates with relevant laboratory experience may also be considered.
Required Skills
Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control systems.
Familiarity with perfumes, fragrances, essential oils, and cosmetic raw materials.
Understanding of GMP, ISO 9001, and quality assurance practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
Preferred
Experience in perfume or cosmetic manufacturing.
Knowledge of laboratory instruments such as densitometers, viscometers, refractometers, pH meters, and analytical balances.
Familiarity with SFDA and cosmetic quality standards is an advantage.
